EZ Break 7.0
A hydraulic break-out device that makes and breaks threaded drill-rod connections on an HDD rig.
Design and function
The EZ Break 7.0 is mounted on an excavator and driven by the auxiliary hydraulic system. Hydraulic cylinders clamp the drill rod; torque is then applied to make up or break out the threaded connection. Because it integrates into a drilling setup rather than working alone, it is commissioned as part of the complete rig.
